The Healing Power of Yoga
Besides teaching yoga, I have another passion: facilitating healing sessions. To be more precise, I am a Reconnective Healing® and The Reconnection® Practitioner. Never heard of it? You may have come across the name of the ‘founder’ of Reconnective Healing®, Dr. Eric Pearl. Recently, he was one of Dr. Oz’s guests in his TV show. Watch it here!
Last weekend, I had the fortune to teach at the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Massachusetts. I taught 3 yoga classes during which I facilitated Reconnective Healing. Now, what have Yoga and Reconnective Healing to do with one another – I hear you think? Maybe more than you think!
The practice of Yoga aims at uniting body, mind and spirit. It helps remind you that you are more than just the physical aspect of your being. Healing literally means: to make whole again. A Reconnective Healing session allows you to reconnect with the fullness of your being. Sounds pretty similar, right? So what happens when you combine the two?
Reconnective Yoga unites the practice of Yoga with Reconnective Healing. It offers a powerful new way to align body, mind and spirit. Reconnective Healing uses energy, light and information in a new spectrum of frequencies that bring your entire being into balance. It allows you to further expand your Yoga practice as you explore new physical capabilities and a deeper spiritual connection. Reconnective Yoga is a unique and transformative vehicle to facilitate concentration, meditation and wellness on all levels. During a Reconnective Yoga class you will experience direct alignment with universal oneness and discover a new dimension of Yoga!
Students report that their practice is truly different during the Reconnective Yoga class. They are able to sustain postures with more ease, and Savasana seems to be deeper and more relaxed. I have been told by several students that they experience a relieve, or even complete healing, from physical issues that had been bothering them. It seems that the yoga studio is becoming a healing center during a Reconnective Yoga class. The students are the healing practitioners and those that receive healing at the same time.
Never underestimate the healing power of Yoga!
